Good Girls Don't Have to Dress Bad: A Style Guide for Every Woman

Shari Braendel is a sought-after speaker for Christian women’s retreats, conferences, and youth events all over the nation. A fabulous, fun, and refreshing fashionista, she regularly hosts workshops for women to help them appreciate their beauty, discover their natural assets, and learn what to wear so they can look and feel their best.

An Interview with Shari Braendel
Tell me a little bit about your background and your family.
I’ve been in the fashion and beauty industry since graduating from college with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. I’ve owned my own image consulting business in Miami, Florida, was a Pink Cadillac driving sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics and now speak nationally for Proverbs 31 Ministries about fashion, beauty and modesty. I have a great husband who works full time with me and a 15 year old 6’7” basketball-playing son who loves the Lord!

What do you like to do in your spare time? Hobbies?
Spare time, what’s that? When I do get spare time, I enjoy sitting on my front porch talking with my hubby and love, love, love to go to the beach! Our spare time is spent watching my son play lots of basketball.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
My superpower would be to instantly have the house and yard looking perfecting presentable in an instant because I love order.
What has God been teaching you lately?
Oh dear, I hate to admit this, but He’s been teaching me to keep my mouth shut when I’d rather tell my husband what I really think!

(Wanza: I totally understand! LOL)

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to travel all over the world picking out beautiful clothes for people. I’m not kidding!

Where are you headed next?
Literally? I’m headed next to Atlanta and Dallas for speaking engagements in August. Figuratively, I’m headed right into God’s will and I really hope I don’t miss it!
